It all started with a problem every woodturner knows too well — rust. The Lathe Buddy TM was born out of a passion for the craft and a frustration with fighting rust on the lathe bed between sessions. We created the Lathe Buddy TM to be the simple, effective solution that keeps your lathe bed protected so you can get back to doing what you love — turning. It's the product that started it all, and to this day it remains the one we're most proud of. Once you try it, you'll wonder how you ever turned without it.

Blanks Here, Blanks There, Handcrafted Turning Blanks & Finished Pieces Everywhere!
Our resin and stabilized wood blanks are carefully mixed, colored, and cured right here using in-house recipes we’ve developed and refined ourselves.
Whether we’re turning any of our blanks into pens, seam rippers, hobby knife handles, pendants, pizza cutter handles, ice cream scoop handles, or something totally new and funn, each piece is handled with care. Some folks love buying our blanks to turn on their own lathes, while others enjoy the finished items we create. Every blank is one-of-a-kind, and we pour them all with the same hands-on passion that keeps us amused at the lathe and sewing machine every day!
Each of our resin and stabilized wood blanks are cast using popular and premium market materials.

The AAW International Woodturning Symposium is the world’s most prestigious annual gathering where the global woodturning community comes together for over 80 expert demonstrations and the industry's largest trade show. AUGUST: SWAT Southwest Association of Woodturners

"The SWAT organization exists to promote the craft of woodturning through training, demonstrations, hands on experience and exhibits. SWAT offers something for all levels of experience from hobbyists to professionals. All levels of experience are welcome to participate in our yearly symposium each August. If you enjoy woodturning and want to meet like-minded folks, this is the place for you. We encourage attendees of all ages to attend SWAT and broaden their craft and/or learn new skills."Â
In addition to learning from the demonstrations at SWAT, you can also learn from rubbing elbows with a wide range of experienced turners.  The years of experience found at each SWAT event runs into the thousands, and you won’t find a nicer group of people who are always willing to share their experience.
SEPTEMBER RMWS Rocky Mountain Woodturning Symposium

"Participants choose from 45 rotations – including 7 hands-on sessions – given by some of the best woodturners in the world. The presentations have something for everyone, from the beginner to the professional.
We have a large vendor exhibit and a hands-on woodturning program area. An Instant Gallery is open to the public and all attendees are encouraged to bring up to three pieces and display their work.
Saturday and Sunday lunch is included in your full registration. During lunch on Saturday, there will be a critique of selected items from the Instant Gallery. On Sunday, lunch will feature our closing ceremony, auctions, door prizes, and our now World Famous Longest Shaving Contest! There will be opportunities to purchase (or win!) fine art, tools, and more.
Check-in will open Friday at 11 am, with the first demonstration starting at 12:30 (exact times are subject to change). On Friday evening we will host a meet-and-greet ice cream social and vendor showcase.
The symposium is open to anyone with an interest in woodturning and is the best value available."
